Held on weekends, this outstanding entry level course is for those students who initially do not have the time or funds to take our four day course, but want to get a fast start on their weaponcraft training.

Upon completion of this course you will have a fundamental understanding of the defensive use of the handgun. Among the many gun handling and marksmanship abilities gained in just two days, you will learn to safely and effortlessly draw your weapon from the holster and fire two sighted shots to the center of a target 3 to 5 meters away — all under 1.5 seconds! This course more than satisfies the gun handling and marksmanship criteria required for Concealed Weapons Permits.

• Lecture Topics Include: Deadly Force and the Law; Crisis Management; Weapon, Ammunition, and Holster Selection; Handgun Stopping Power; Principals of Tactics; Environmental Awareness; Shoot / No Shoot Decision Making; and Shooting Aftermath.
• Firing Range Drills Include: Checking Weapon Condition, Loading, and Unloading; Grip, Stance, Sight Picture, Sight Alignment, and Trigger Control; Weapon Presentation from Ready and Holster; Target Engagement from arms length to 15 meters under time pressure; Failure To Stop; Speed and Tactical Reloading; Malfunction Clearing; and an introduction to Live-Fire Tactical Simulators.
• Weapon, Equipment, and Ammunition Requirements:
  • Any legally owned revolver or auto-loading pistol .38 caliber / .380 ACP or larger that is in safe operating condition with trigger guard intact, and a secure holster worn on a waist belt.
  • Two spare magazines for auto-loading pistols or two speed loaders for revolvers with appropriate holders.
  • Ear and eye protection, knee pads, elbow pads, and hat.
  • 300 rounds of new, factory made ammunition.
  • A spare handgun with holster is highly recommended in the event that your primary firearm breaks during the course.

Held Friday through Monday, this fast paced and exciting course is for law enforcement officers, military personnel, and private citizens alike who want to walk away with a complete understanding of the defensive use of the handgun and a skill level that surpasses 95% of those who carry a gun for a living.

Regardless of your experience prior to entering this course, upon completion, your gunhandling and marksmanship skills will be better than they have ever been and you will have the ability to safely and effortlessly draw your weapon from a CONCEALED holster and fire two, sighted shots to the center of a target 3 to 5 meters away — all under 1.2 seconds! That’s right, 1.2 seconds! You will understand the principles of tactics and have multiple opportunities to use your acquired skills under the stress of simulated lethal encounters. This course is a must for anyone who chooses to own or carry a handgun for self defense. For those who carry a concealed weapon or wish to carry in the future, there is no better training course.

A heavy emphasis is placed on tactical training simulation using realistic and reactive targets in shoot/no shoot scenarios. All presentation from the holster are done from concealment on Day Four.

Course includes Evening Supplemental Lectures with Staff Social, Low Light and Night Shooting, Single Elimination Shoot Off, and Distinguished Graduate Skills Evaluation.

Lecture, Firing Range Drills, and Equipment Requirements:

• As outlined in the Two Day Handgun Course Description with an increase in ammunition requirements to 800 rounds.
• A flashlight for night activities.
• Light shirt or jacket for concealment is required.

Day Three and Day Four increase student’s proficiency and speed of target engagement from arms length out to 25 meters.
